The University of Ottawa STEM Complex is a building that amalgamates the Science and Engineering faculties into one. The building achieved LEED v2009 BD+C NC: Gold certification.Notable features include: energy reduction of over 34% when compared to the baseline, diversion of over 75% of all construction and demolition waste, use of FSC certified wood, use of materials with high recycled content, and use of measures to minimize building occupant exposure to hazardous particulates and chemical pollutants.
