The Meadowvale Community Centre & Library achieved LEED v2009 BD+C NC: Silver certification. Notable features include: use of low-flow and low-flush plumbing fixtures to reduce potable water use, diversion of over 75% total construction and demolition waste, use of materials with high recycled content and that are sourced locally, use of FSC certified wood, thermal comfort mechanisms to ensure occupant satisfaction, and the use of low-emitting materials to ensure minimal offgasing.
